And perhaps the first light rain. And how the garden exploded with relief! I'll have to keep that in mind as I work out the North Border... ;-)Amy@SmallSunnyGardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490564566463354419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-2794394960372983342016-08-25T10:20:44.600-07:002016-08-25T10:20:44.600-07:00Hi Christina :) Glad to see you here! It did suffer from the prolonged 110+ heat this year but is coming out of that well too, so I'm not complaining!
Dogs do get us freaked out when they get sick, don't they?! Do your Dobies get ill often? They're such beautiful dogs!
Hope to see you again soon!Amy@SmallSunnyGardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490564566463354419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-18857171604351501332016-08-25T10:12:39.430-07:002016-08-25T10:12:39.430-07:00Yes, the dog is recovering well now! I'm doing the same about the grasses - and a bit mad at myself for not picking up a nice pot of Bouteloua "Blonde Ambition" the other day, though Sunset doesn't recommend it for zone 12 - still wondering if it might work anyway... ;-)Amy@SmallSunnyGardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490564566463354419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-30851194618567923862016-08-24T15:29:49.820-07:002016-08-24T15:29:49.820-07:00The grasses and perovskia ,along with the mounding...The grasses and perovskia ,along with the mounding textures makes this border so lovely!Eliza Watershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06879335295393594236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-44665454800857090122016-08-24T14:20:48.032-07:002016-08-24T14:20:48.032-07:00Hi Amy, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a ...Hi Amy, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! It took me a while to stop by your blog, but finally I am here.
The section of the flower bed that you are showing looks pretty nice! I love Perovskia and it should do well in my own garden, but for some reason I don't grow it myself. I should change that in the near future and just get it. It is such a pretty plant.
So glad to read that your dog is doing better. We have two Dobermans and I am always freaking out when something is wrong with them. It is so nervwrecking when they are ill.
Warm regards, until hopefully soon!
Christina

organicgardendreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11122516730008378516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-48656689229289080782016-08-24T11:21:15.739-07:002016-08-24T11:21:15.739-07:00I'm glad to here the dog is on the mend! And yes, the plants respond more quickly than I expect to the nicer weather - always encouraging! The grasses are starting to flower here too and it always seems like a grand finale of summer with their firework style flowers. Look forward to seeing some Muhlenbergia blooms soon! Hope this week is more relaxing than last Amy, and good to hear your little doggie is better now. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
