Here's hoping the desert penstemons will grow well for you; I haven't tried the standard hybrids, but I'm not sure I would bother as I find these desert species so attractive... Your comment on Ozothamnus is encouraging - I worry I have it in too much shade, though I understand that is recommended for the pink-flowered types.Amy@SmallSunnyGardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490564566463354419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-49931578550002747242016-03-16T20:53:13.727-07:002016-03-16T20:53:13.727-07:00I'm indebted to my sister for starting what ha...I'm indebted to my sister for starting what has become a small collection of jasmines - elegance is the perfect word for all of them!Amy@SmallSunnyGardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490564566463354419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-39844709156377716372016-03-16T20:51:35.295-07:002016-03-16T20:51:35.295-07:00Thank you so much, Donna! I have to look for that Penstemon - I haven't had great luck with that genus here but I did recently plant P. parryi and will be hungry for more from the genus if that one makes it in my garden. I also planted an Ozothamnus this past fall but mine is just now showing its first buds. It did well in my former garden so I hope it will like this one as well.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-77910589130103331202016-03-15T10:15:49.097-07:002016-03-15T10:15:49.097-07:00The Jasmine flowers are so beautiful and elegant h...The Jasmine flowers are so beautiful and elegant helping to create a lovely vase.Brian Skeyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04761762507159759619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-80413441239843674282016-03-15T09:00:11.080-07:002016-03-15T09:00:11.080-07:00Oh my what a delight in those red blooms...such a ...Oh my what a delight in those red blooms...such a plentiful, lovely vase!Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13420133886162844400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3315847063483821430.post-25313136774437871762016-03-15T04:25:12.024-07:002016-03-15T04:25:12.024-07:00The reds are luscious, Amy - they combine so well ...The reds are luscious, Amy - they combine so well and the buds of the Ozothamnus look really promisingso I am pleased you were able to successfully cut them the second time.
