  2. You didn't get any rain from those clouds, Amy? We've seen gray clouds hovering above off and on for 2 days now but, sadly, no rain yet.

    1. Actually, we did... These shots were taken the morning after our little downpour; I just didn't get them posted till now! Since then, the moisture has moved back out of the area. I can't believe how little rain you're getting right on the coast; it's just incredible...!

  3. Beautiful clouds - could almost imagine myself lying on my back, feeling calm. Loved that aquilegia too, Amy. I'd never heard of it before - looks a bit like A. canadensis.

    1. The clouds were wonderful that day... It does make one think of A. canadensis; it certainly has a "species columbine" look, and the colours are a stronger red and yellow than I expected!

  4. Such a beautiful scene with the clouds over the desert mountains! I love the sterling silver rose...such a delicate mauve shade, it's very lovely!

    1. I love looking over the countryside here :) "Sterling Silver" is proving much more sterling than I expected. Despite its reputation for weak growth, it has been very robust here so far - seems to be a good choice for the climate. And colour and fragrance are still perfect...
