Monday Vase: Warm Colours

This week's vase is a medley of warm flower colours, from apricot to bright yellow.  Wollerton Old Hall roses...
 ...blend with chrysanthemums...
 ...marguerite daisies (Argyranthemum frutescens)...
...and Tetraneuris acaulis.
The foliage is Salvia officinalis, the culinary sage, which has been thriving.
I made a quick little arrangement in my small stoneware pot that has proven so useful on Mondays.
This has been a fairly long day so I will keep my post correspondingly short, but I did want to go ahead and share this handful of flowers!
After all, it's still Monday here and time for the Monday Vase meme with Cathy at Rambling in the Garden!

Happy Monday (or Tuesday)!

  1. I love these soft, warm colours together and the sage is a great contrast and your Wollerton Old Rose is looking as fresh as ever.

    1. I was surprised at how well the sage fit in; I'll have to use it again sometime. So glad you enjoyed this one :)

  2. It's a beautiful mix of flowers, Amy. The mums pick up the subtle color of the rose and both shine.

  4. Gorgeous colours and I love them against the silvery grey of the sage leaves.

    1. Thank you very much, WW! So sorry I missed your comment this long; slowdown caused by finding my way with a new computer system... :P I was quite pleased with using the sage in this arrangement, and of course it outlasted everything else in the vase ;-)

  5. Happy Sunday even...? Sorry for late commenting :( The WOH roses are perfect with the argyranthemum - well the other way round really - and the softness of the sage leaves sets them off perfectly

    1. And even later reply, Cathy... I seem to have missed a good deal while messing around with the new computer... Hopefully I'm getting back on track now. I was very happy with this combination myself - first time I've used the sage foliage, I think, but probably not the last... ;-)

    1. At first I had my doubts about combining the bright yellows with the other muted tones, but it turned into a very happy experiment, I think... I can't believe I missed these comments so long, but as you know, my computer time has been taken up with this new machine - working well, I'm happy to say! Thanks so much :)
