The "Sterling Silver" rosebud certainly did not have to be cut, but it was irresistable.
Then the base is surrounded by more trimmings - these from the new rosemary hedge, which is very much in need of a good clip! And as I had finally purchased some foam for Monday Vase projects, I was able to put the various materials in a low dish, a simple stoneware dish I made years ago. Grass stems first, then the rose, then the bits of rosemary...
while to accent the side opposite the rose, I added a branch of the low, spreading Eremophila "Outback Sunrise". While cutting it, I spotted flower buds on it for the first time.
And the Eremophila completed the effect.
The last several days have been so hectic that I wondered whether I would have a chance at getting anything together for the meme today; but here it is, after all! Now I must go over and check the other vases at Cathy's Rambling in the Garden!
Happy Monday!

ReplyDeleteAmy this is such a stunning arrangement....very artistic and I love how you used the rosemary....
DeleteThanks so much, Donna! The rosemary added such a nice fragrance too... :)
DeleteThe end result is superb! I like how you made that single rose work for you and how the grass and the bowl match the colors of the sunlit background in your last photo. Everything is so nicely poised, thoughtfully placed.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Jane! That rose was so quiet that it would probably have been lost in a mix; but this way it could stand out in all its elegance... :)
DeleteThat is really nice Amy :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Jessica! I'm assuming no one actually fell through the ceiling - hope the roof will be back over your head quickly...!
DeleteFabulous! That fourth photo is a work of art.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Ricki! Glad you like it :)
DeleteVery artistic Amy!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Kris :)
DeleteIt is indeed artistic - the rose, grasses, rosemary land other greenery look really balanced. The low pot with the short pieces of rosemary looks so effective. Perhaps you could make a pot to suit every arrangement! :) Thanks so much for sharing, Amy
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about making some pots for the meme... ;-) See what you've started, Cathy! Thanks :)
DeleteThis is lovely - the shape, the colour, and the light all melt together beautifully. :)
ReplyDeleteI was happy to catch the morning sun before that glow went off. So glad you enjoyed it all, Cathy! Thank you :)
DeleteCette présentation est d'un raffinement exquis. Tout est remarquable, la fleur au tendre coloris et les graminées donnent le côté insolite à la composition. Le tout est admirablement bien photographié.
ReplyDeleteBelle journée
Thank you so much for your kind words, Jocelyne! I'm so pleased you enjoyed it all; this arrangement was a great pleasure to create and photograph. Wishing you a wonderful day :)
